Radio - Excite Me!?!
I was watching the Simpsons last night, and I don’t know if any of you watch the show but it was about Bart being kind of stuck in a rut and wanting a vacation. The beginning of the episode starts out with Barts daily routine. Waking up, breakfast, the bus ride to school, school, the way home, being home, and then the same thing on Tuesday. I starting thinking to myself that I feel like that’s what I do every day. Hell that’s what we all do every day. Who doesn’t want a long term vacation. Paid of course. You know the one thing that gets me through the day is turning on CaliRadio at 10:30. I’m gonna let you all in on a little secret. When West and Slim are not on air by 11:15am, if I don’t hear them, my ass is texting and calling like “what the hell is taken so long?” LOL I find myself awake and revitalized after the show starts. It’s like I can feel the music in me. You know I never got that listening to any other stations. I listen to CaliRadio then at 4:30 I’m in my car and listening to whatever and it’s the same 5 songs that get played. It’s so fucking annoying. Especially after a long day and it’s not even music I like. After listening to Caliradio these past months, I’m excited about music again. I tweeted a few weeks ago that I feel about music how I felt in 1995. E40’s In A Major Way, Mack 10’s Mack 10, and Dogg Pound’s Dogg Food all got released in 1995. Now Im hearing Paris Montgomery, Lars Young, Problem, and I have yet to hear a Iamsu song I don’t love. Kraze FAM Im Getting Fucked Up is now my new party anthem. It’s too many great new artist I can’t name them all. Because of CaliRadio I get to hear all Nipsey Hussle new music (My FAVORITE guy right now). I can’t get that nowhere else. Hell I wish I could hear Welcome to LA while I’m walking through the mall shopping instead of YMCA.
I’m not knocking any ones taste in music but seems like CaliRadio is the only place that caters to what I like. Now I always do my research before I write about something. I did a little experiment on Saturday. I turned on the Xbox and logged into IheartRadio. If yall don’t know what that is, it’s an app like TuneIn and it lets you listen to almost all of the radio stations across the country. I scanned every Hip-Hop and R&B stations from Seattle to Tampa to Detroit down to Austin TX and I heard the same damn 5 songs! I did this for 4 hours while cleaning on Saturday. I heard Niggas in Paris, Drank in my cup, Teach me how to Dougie, The Motto, Moment for life, BullShit, BullShit and more BullShit. Don’t get me wrong if you like those songs or artist great but hell Watch the throne came out back in August.
I feel like I wanna slap some music directors, like rap music is more than Jay Z. Its not exciting to eat steak everyday for the rest of my life. No matter how much I love it.
On the bright side, it is New Music Mondays on CaliRadio.

Its YOU
Look people, I am so tired of
all these guys talking shit about us(women), then have the nerve to say “hook
me up wit yo home girl”. Guys here’s a
little nugget of information I’m sure you have heard before – You get what you
pay for. Meaning if you don’t invest time or money or some effort in to a woman,
you won’t get a quality woman. This is the main reason you get them Ratchets and Low Life females that treat you like shit! Come on. The funny thing is, is that the main
guys that put on that front like they will never pay for a date or buy a chick
a gift are the same ones tricking off what little money they do get to get some
ass. Let’s not bull shit each
other. It’s some women that will put up
with anything just to say “I got a man!”. Men always will take advantage of
her. While on the other hand, it’s some women that will ONLY go after a man with money. Let’s be clear,
those women aint worth a red cent. I’m
going to break down the dynamics of a “Traditional" relationship in 3
parts - Meeting, Courting, and Marriage. The man meets a girl. Determines if he
likes her and wants to get to know her. Then with natural progression and time
they get married. It was always the man’s role to provide for his family and
the woman’s role to take care of him in return. That was all the concept of
marriage was before. The most important part is that there was no sex before
the man and woman came to this agreement. You promise to take care of me, I
promise to give you sex -Boom! Bam! Pow! Marriage!
That’s all it was. Then at some point in time women
started to give up sex without that promise or any promise for that matter and that’s where things
got fucked up. Don’t get me wrong I am
married and I work, and we had sex before we got married. If and when our relationship progressed to
that next level was totally on me. I set the pace as to when and where our
relationship was going to go. So when I hear guys and all this trash talk all I
think about is who is actually opening her legs to you? What dumb ass broad
(and yall know I hates me a dumb ass broad) is fucking you? Uhhhggg!
Guys all I’m saying is it
aint tricking if she’s worth it. There
is not any shame in spending money or time on a woman if she is worth putting
that time or effort in to her. Be smarter about it. Be respectful. Clearly
women’s standards have been lowered in the last 30 years. So I’m sure it don’t take much to make her
smile. Despite popular belief every
chick is not ratchet, or a slut bucket.
Stop being cheap and take a girl out. No doing dutch. Spend $50 on a first date. Open a damn door. Tell her she
smells good. Even if you get nothing(Sex) out of it. That’s the least you can do for a girl if you want her time. And
ladies let’s stop walking around acting like yo coochie is the last one on Earth. I
know entirely too many chicks that are beautiful, smart and have they shit
together. And they gettin snatched up like a fresh pair of J’s out here. If you're single
and think all niggas aint shit - Bitch it’s you. I have had too many great guys
cross my path to think that. Hell even Grewsom made some young ladies
Valentine’s Day special with only a $5 budget. Getting and keeping a great
person is not that hard as long as YOU are comfortable with yourself. We are all flawed. No one person is
perfect. So the next time I hear anyone
complain about the opposite sex I have one answer to ALL of their complaints
– It’s You!

#TalkToMeInPersonSoIKnowItsREAL
I have said this time and time again. Twitter and FaceBook are great sources to promote business, network, and for my own personal use, which is to keep in contact with family and friends that I can't call or talk to on a daily basis. It somewhat keeps us present in each others lives, when a phone call or a email everyday might be too much. For example; my cousin that lives in Atlanta gets to travel a lot for work, and because of these social networking sites I get to hear and kind of experience these places along with her. Which I think is really cool. If I can't for whatever reason listen to my guys on CaliRadio when they are on, I can count on my twitter time line to keep me well informed. I do on occasion tend to use these platforms to state my own personal views on a subject. As I do with this blog. I never want to offend. My goal is always to enlighten. The problem with that is; I expect a lot from people. I give too much credit to people that obviously can't pay their mental or emotional bills. Or pay attention for that matter. Expecting people to just get it doesn't work. Getting frustrated with people because they don't get it, doesn't work. Especially on Twitter. As great a resource FaceBook and Twitter are, the people I'm speaking on are the people that beef and put their personal business on the sites. Social networking sites are not the place to air out baby daddy issues, or dispute your side chick status. If your girl won’t answer her phone no need to take to Twitter or Facebook to let everyone know how much of a whore you think she may be. Don’t bring your fancy and exciting life to twitter if all you do is in fact be on Facebook and Twitter all day every day. I have nic named twitter 'Far Far Away' and FaceBook 'Neva Neva Land'. I don't know if people think "no ones gonna see this post" or what? **News Flash** - We See It! If I know you personally and you post something on Twitter that I know is Bull Shit, I lose most, if not all respect for you. Starting beef on Facebook is worst then sitting there watching a chick take off her jewelry before yall fight. Dumb! That's more than enough time, space, and opportunity to slap that bitch dead in her face mid earring removal. I'm not saying that's something I would do. I am a grown woman so nothing should come to blows, but I'm just saying.
I'm not a big fan of William Roberts (Shout out to The Real Rick Ross - I hate having to put "The Real" by the way) but he does have a line that I absolutely love "Fuck a blog dog cause one day we gon meet". That's what I think of all the negative stuff anyone says about anything on FaceBook or Twitter. The people that engage in that usually can't distinguish between the distorted picture that's playing in their head and actual reality.
So next time anyone comes at me sideways on a social networking site all I'm gonna post in response is #TalkToMeInPersonSoIKnowItsReal otherwise Shut The Fuck Up

Easter in LA
CaliRadio hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic at Kenneth Hahn Park today. And .... Me being new to CaliRadio and a event planner and party stylist myself. I must admit I had my doubts at first. See CaliRadio is young and fresh and the primary focus is Great Music. So I wasn't so sure a hand full of people could pull off such an event. Yes, I know they did it last year, but I wasn't there. I couldn't give it that "SeeBries" stamp of approval off of what I heard. I needed to see for my self.
If you weren't there today, I must say, I was overly joyed! I was elated to see such an amazing force of goodness for the sake of the community. It wasn't a frowning child there. Or a pissed off grown up complaining. It was almost blissful. All of the CaliRadio team was assigned different jobs and the way it was executed, it all came together beautifully. The CaliRadio girls worked tirelessly at making baskets and decorations. The men were in charge of the BBQ (of course). We had kids, and Grand parents, Moms and Dads, aunties and uncles brought their nieces and nephews. It was great. The weather was perfect. DJ Cali Slimm and DJ Money had the music on point. West West & Sky manned the grill. Party man was being, well, party man. Gruesome played football with the boys. While the kids played on playground, the adults played Dominos and spades. My closes friends came out to support. My family was there. I got to see my nieces Aaliyah and Dee Dee who I don't see as often as I should. CaliRadio artist like TMarie and Kaze Fam, IV League, Patron Poke and Francodagawd all brought their families. Ok side note, I think McCall Hall and TMarie are winning my heart with the most adorable nephew contest. I wanted to keep both of them. CaliRadio gave out Easter baskets and prizes and candy and food. All of which was free for every single child that was there. I am so proud to be apart of this event.
Its official! The Easter festivities has the "SeeBries" stamp of Fabulousness! I promise you next year will be that much more successful and that much more Fabulous!
Thank GOD to everyone that donated time, money, and resources to make sure CaliRadios 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic was a success. This was a total family event, and that's exactly what it felt like being there, Family!
Hope you all have a Happy Easter.

Redemption
Why is it that when I see a sad story on TV, I always find some kind of redeeming quality about the character. Don't matter how fucked up they are I feel sad or empathy for whatever it is that they are going through. However in real life if it were the same story line going on with someone I know, chances are I would cut all ties because of stupid behavior. Y'all know I am a strong advocate of not judging any one for what they choose to do or how they do it. Hey it ain't my life. I make and live with my decisions good, bad and ugly. Some people might call my actions or behavior stupid, but I would never dare let MY stupid behavior affect them, or infringe on their life. My own personal issues I struggle with everyday are just that. Mines! See my redeeming quality is that I learn. I evolve. I grow. I've been there and done that. There's a saying "I'm old enough to know better, but young enough to do again!" The reason I love that saying so much is that its OK to do "it" again. As long as the formula you use when presented with the problem that arose the first time is different. We can't keep doing the same things the same way and expect something different. Or just out right do something wrong and disrespectful, and expect to come out winning. Even if you do something harmful to someone with out any malice behind it, if it keeps happening its still not right. You are wrong. Nothing about that is redeeming.
This week tells the story of the last days of Jesus. From his celebrating Passover to the betrayal of a friend to his trial and eventual conviction and crucifixion. Whether you think this is just another movie on TV or believe these were actual factual events. We can all learn a lot from someone that always finds a redeeming quality in people. He did after all forgive Judus. I'm just not quite there yet.
Happy Passover or Easter! Enjoy your Holiday!
